Remnants

Formed from a weathered driftwood post and a sparse crown of horsehair, these sculptures stands as remnants of a landscape under strain. The wood carries the marks of long exposure, the lifted fibres rise like the memory of a canopy than can no longer holds its shape. The pieces sit in a register of quiet dread, a small uneasy witness to forces that erode, thin and unmake the structures that once held steady.
